Tarceva monotherapy is indicated as maintenance treatment in patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC who disease has not progressed after four cycles of platinum-based first-line chemotherapy.
Tarceva is also approved for patients with locally advanced or
metastatic NSCLC whose disease has progressed after one or more courses of chemotherapy. Tarceva is not meant to be used at the same time as certain types of chemotherapy for NSCLC. In pancreatic cancer, Tarceva is approved for the 1st line treatment of locally advanced, unresectable or metastatic pancreatic cancer in combination with gemcitabine (chemotherapy).

* Rash and diarrhea were the most common side effects associated with Tarceva in the NSCLC clinical studies. Fatigue, rash, nausea, loss of appetite and diarrhea were the most common side effects associated with Tarceva plus gemcitabine therapy in the pancreatic cancer clinical study.
Now enrolling patients in a Phase III trial studying OSI-906 in patients with adrenocortical carcinoma who have received at least 1 but no more than 2 prior treatments.
